This checklist is designed to be the starting point of each day running our real estate business. See our collection of Specific Staff Checklists for checklists for specific members of your staff that you may have like your Administrative Assistant or Acquisition Manager.
It includes what to do and what order to do things in. In some sections, it also gives you an idea of the expected time to complete each part of the checklist.
Items on the checklist might be to complete a different (sub) checklist. When you get to that task, go and complete the sub checklist and then return to the original checklist before continuing on. See also Why Use Checklists.
- Review Goals Checklist. Take a few minutes to go over our Goals Checklist. To paraphrase Stephen Covey, we need to "begin with the end in mind".
- 5 Minutes per day.
- Go through our Daily Marketing Checklist. This will make sure that we have our entire marketing out and working for us to attract buyers, sellers and additional dream team members as needed.
- Time block at least 1 hour per day to manage your marketing.
- Complete the Seller Checklist. The Seller Checklist will walk you through keeping up with seller inquiries.
- Varies based on volume of seller inquiries.
- Complete the Buyer Checklist. The Buyer Checklist will walk you through keeping up with the buyer or renter inquiries.
- Varies based on volume of buyer inquiries.
- Complete the Dream Team Checklist. The Dream Team Checklist will walk you through keeping up with all your key dream team member contacts.
- Varies, but should be about 30 minutes to an hour daily.
- Go through the Property Management Checklist. This will go through the properties that you currently have in inventory to see if there is any management that you should do on these.
- Varies based on number of properties being managed and their current needs.
- Go through Business Management Checklist. This will go through the checklists for aspects of your business that you need to manage.
- Varies based on complexity, but can be 30 minutes to an hour daily for small buy, sell, rent businesses.

It is assumed that you have already setup your business using the Business Setup Checklist located in the Business Management Checklist.
